Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Blister-Rid is made from our proprietary blend of Honey Bee Propolis.  Propolis is made by the Honey Bee to seal and protect their hive.  To read more about what propolis is, click here

1.     I'm allergic to bees.  Can I still take or use propolis?  Being allergic to bees stings has nothing to do with propolis, so yes, you can take propolis.  A good example is, a person who is allergic to cows milk can still wear leather shoes or clothing made from cow's skin.

2.  Can I have an allergic reaction to propolis?  Anything is possible and I'm sure there is someone in the world who is allergic to everything, but I have never known of anyone to be allergic to propolis.

3. Should I ask my Doctor? Yes, by all means but don't be surprised if you doctor is not familiar with propolis.

4.  I heard my Dad and Grandfather speak of propolis but they called it something else, what was that?  Beekeepers call it "Bee Glue" because it is sticky when it is warm.
